We often go about our daily lives and carry our daily transactions without much care and acknowledgement for the lives we are blessed with to make such moves.  Even if we do we are not consistent in such doings, and that is all good and well because we are not perfect; far from such.  However, when we do remember that we have not said thanks to the creator for another day, do we stop wherever we are to do so? Not most of us. Why?  The truth is, regardless of how spiritual most of us are, we often care about what people think of us and how they may question our faith so we wait until our private moments to give thanks, if ever at all.  What if we were dealt the same hand and the Father decided to wait until it’s convenient for him to give us life or get us out of trouble or even grant us success, how many of us really would be lucky enough to set eyes on another day? No need to answer.

One of the many truths about spirituality and religion is that many of us are unsure of who the actual deity is who have been blessing us every day. Some are left dazed and confused about who they must praise and pray to, whether it’s God, Allah, Buddha, Jah, Haile Selassie, the Father etc.  One thing is sure is that there is an ultimate being that is above all of us and governs this universe we are blessed to be a part of.  This isn’t an entry to preach or ask you to choose who you want to serve but simply a reminder that we are blessed with every breath we take and there is some higher being that is bestowing this honour and is never late in doing so.

We have all, at one point or another, failed to embrace our faith because it is one of our many imperfections as human beings. However, the simple moments we have on our hands, whenever we remember, never ever forget to pray and give thanks for the MANY blessings we have because even when you think you are down on your luck, you still have a lot to give thanks for. Doubt me? Ok, breathe! See, LIFE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY
